Fun Tutu or Cindy Lauper Tutu- I can't decide

I made this tutu set last night with the last of my favorite lime green trimmed with pink stitch ribbon. I HAVE to order some more. When I put the colors together I was actually matching the headband to something and ended up with hotpink, lime, and mint green. It reminds me of Cindy Lauper in the 80's so I may just call it the Lauper Tutu. I realize Im dating myself but hey, she was just on Celebrity Apprentice so people should know her. So Girls Just Want to Have Fun in this Lauper Tutu Set- Let me know what you think- Have a great Tuesday!

The Perfect Outfit for 4th of July

I just finished a special order for Tristina's little girl. She's taking professional pictures for the 4th of July holiday and needed the perfect outfit. I think this one will suffice. I just love it. The star adornment is pinned on to a onesie so baby or mommy can wear it. I love red, white and blue together. It reminds me of Summer, my patriotism and ofcourse BBQ's and family and friends. Funny how different colors make you feel. Happy Friday everyone! Check out my etsy store for your new products this weekend.

Birthday Tutu for Haley's Niece

Yesterday I received an order from a lady in Washington that needed a tutu ASAP! Gotta love that. She found me because I'm in Las Vegas and her niece was in Las Vegas and wanted her to have a Tutu by Thursday for her birthday so she could be the best Aunt EVER. I was so happy I took the time on etsy to put in the location information on my profile page. (It took a while), but Haley would have never found me if I hadn't. So if you have an etsy page I highly recommend doing this. Here is the custom order Rainbow Tutu with Birthday and Cupcake Bows. Yes, Haley picked everything out herself. Thanks Haley and Happy 5th Birthday to your little niece.

Seaside TutuDress

These 2 colors blended together are so beautiful. The pictures dont do the dress justice. I cant wait to actually see it on a child. I wasnt sure if I should have attached it to a headband or just left the bow as is. I'll let the customer choose. Have a great day!

Weekend Work

Happy Monday! It was a busy week last week with the kids out for summer break and graduations but I'm back to crafting. Here are a few orders I made over the weekend. They are both for newborns; Faith will be here today and Isabella 2 months early. I can't wait to see the pics of both of them in these luscious colors.

Practice Practice Practice

So I anxiously heated my hotfix tool up last night (4 minutes), spread out the crystals and immediately realized I needed glasses. 3mm is very very tiny. I decided to practice on some deep purple ribbon that I love. If youre trying this at home remember to WAIT for the tool to heat up before you even try to pick up the crystals. Guess what? It wont work or adhere if you dont. So I patiently waited after getting frustrated that it wasnt as easy as I thought. After reading the 3 step instructions it says the first time the tool heats up it will take longer. I should have read those before I was about to throw the thing out the door. Okay, just kidding. I really am more patient than that. I was just really excited to BLING something. I decided to free hand my work and not use the recommended dot pattern or template. Hmmm, tonight I will be trying the patterns. My freehand is a little too free. Here is what I ended up with: Ashley made the butterfly freehand and in my opinion is the best design on the line; but she's my kid and ofcourse its the best one. Have a great day!

Bling

My goal yesterday was to figure out how to make appliques so I could sew them on onesies to match my tutus. After browsing websites I ended up ordering a hot fix tool and a ton of swarovski crystals. I'm going to bling my onesies. Sooo excited. I can customize ribbons with names and initials, write anything on a onesies in crystals and bling my tutus out! Its the new bedazzler from the 80's. I should have it next week and Ill keep you updated.

Here is what I made last night: A special order for Skaylea for her daughters 1st Birthday. Have a great day.

Its all in the pictures

Yesterday I made a special order tutu for a lady at work. I had ordered a beautiful onesie with an applique on the front and did a matching tutu set. It turned out beautiful and resulted in 2 more orders within an hour. The reason I got the orders were from my pictures. Now this tutu is the same style tutu I have been making, but because of my photo and actually showing you what you could do with it. It sold. Im off to buy onesies today (lol) and am going to attempt to learn how to make my own appliques and embroider them on. Im on a mission. Have a great day!

I hope everyone had a fun filled Memorial Day Weekend. I had a blast with my family in the pool- (finally we could swim). Now back to the grind- this is the last week of school and then SUMMER! So I challenged myself to making nothing pink this week. Trust me- it was really hard! and I did make a few pink pieces, but here are some of my blues and "other" colors per your request.
