Costumes Costumes Costumes

This weekend I was trying to catch up on orders so I could actually make some Halloween Costumes to post on my website.  I found some time last night to make a few costumes that are popular with children at Halloween like Pink Princess, Angel Fairy and a witch.

My craft room was a disaster- but I managed to make a few:

Here is what I came up with:

White Angel Fairy with Wings $45
I also found some Mini Witch Hats and embellished them to match the Witch Tutus (I love them)

Black and Orange Witch with Wings and Mini Witch Hat $45

I can't wait to find some time this week to work on some more themed costumes.  If you have something in mind just email me and we can come up with a costume you are sure to remember.
Check out my website Tutuland to see the other costumes I created this weekend.

Off to the Post Office Tomorrow (they love me) and I love my customers.  Happy Monday!

I'm starting to get orders for Halloween Costumes and I have no place to store them without my husband freaking out that he actually lives in TutuLand.  I decided to have a Post Craft Show Sale- I've never had a sale before but I made so many tutus for the last craft show that I brought a few home.  So.... 1/2 price sale it is.......  You can check out my website tutuland to see the specials or go to my facebook page to preview them.  The sale will last until Sunday and they are all Ready to Ship!  So start thinking about baby showers, halloween and your little girls ballet class... If you know any photographers this is a great opportunity to stock up on photo props.

Crafting for a Cause

I mentioned in an earlier post that my daughter (Smashley Style) would donate 10% of her sales to the Animal Foundation Cat Fostering Program.

Last Saturday we took a trip to Petco (we go every Saturday to view the kitties) (and no, I'm not getting another animal)- and met with the "Cat Lady".  Ashley had her little jar with her money in it all prepared and explained to her how she was crafting for her cause.  Since Ashley is too young to volunteer (trust me; we try) this is her way of helping.

Photo Shoot

I decided to hire a professional photographer to take some pictures of my products. I gathered a few VIP tutu wearers and my kids and niece. We headed out to the RedRock Area just outside of Las Vegas. Yes, Im in Las Vegas. Yes, Its July. Yes, it was HOT! Hey, anything for a tutu, right? My photographer is still editing the pictures but I thought I would share a teaser of my older daughter wearing on of my Fluffbands.

Behind the scenes -Photo Shoot

Trying to corral 3 children under 2 in 100 degree weather walking through the Redrocks doing tutu changes was a huge challenge. But we did it! With the help of all the parents (including husbands that fetched bottles, water , binkies and tutu racks) Thank you Thank you! My 2 children were also very helpful blowing bubbles, being models and fluttering along with the little ones.

Mt. Charleston Craft Show

I have been working so hard to get ready for a craft show that Handmade in Vegas is organizing. Its at Mt Charleston about 45 miles outside of Las Vegas (my hometown).

My daughter is also attending the show with me exhibiting her new website called SmashleyStyles. She donates 10% of her sales to the Animal Foundation Cat Fostering program. (More about that tomorrow). She had some great sales and a few people had customer orders.

I had a few new products to display at this show- My Fluffbands and My Tophats.

I loved seeing some old friends, some new friends, my team members and making friends with new team members. Craft Shows are a great bonding experience for Ashley and I and I love every minute of it. Here is my daughter and niece- Love Love Love this picture!
